Chef Gunateet has traveled the world working as a Chef. His passion for Indian food and life is felt by everyone who knows him. He decided to open Bawara in December 2021, with the sole motive to be the best Indian Cuisine & Hakka Restaurant in Toronto. The word 'Bawara' meaning crazy, symbolizes his crazy passion for food, life, family, and friends! In his menu, he has introduced famous delicacies from the different cities in India. For those who dine in, he has curated a special Hakka Indian menu infused with Indian spices.
BEST INDIAN CUISINE, THAT's WHAT PEOPLE SAY
One of the best Indian Restaurants. The best Butter Chicken in Toronto Downtown for sure. Found this gem by fluke while driving through the city and loved every minute of it! The food tastes excellent and is cooked to perfection. I cannot wait to come back. As an Indian, this is definitely a unique twist on authentic flavors. Customer service is an added bonus with smiling faces and friendly staff. Wishing this restaurant a hearty success and future. Surely one of our favorite Indian restaurants.
P.S: One of the few places that don’t make butter chicken all sweet and tangy. Love the spice!
My girlfriend and I were looking at Indian Cuisine and Hakka places nearby and low and behold this place is here. Turns out they opened yesterday. We ordered Butter chicken, roti, and various other Hakka dishes from the menu. This place is officially my favorite and best Indian/Hakka place to dine at. The food was superb, so flavourful. The music/ambiance is amazing. I don’t normally leave reviews but this place deserves it. Let it be known that not only the food and location are amazing but the servers and cooks are extremely nice and always checking in. I wish nothing but good business for this restaurant, god bless.
Absolutely loved the food! We ordered crispy chili cauliflower, samosa chat, onion bhajiya, firnee, gulab jamun, hariyali paneer tikka, aloo paratha, jeera rice, pickled onions, and chillis, and all of them were extremely scrumptious! The taste was 10/10 but their service was 100/10! We made a pick-up order and the restaurant mistakenly left out the chili cauliflower when we picked it up, but when we called them to let them know we would come back to pick it up, they apologized and gave us complimentary fried rice and more of the delicious firnee! LOVE this place and will surely come back again!
